The patient was a beagle, 5 years and 8 months old, who had been experiencing low back pain and lifting of his right hind limb for 2-3 weeks, and swelling of the left nerve root due to foraminal stenosis was observed in the 6th and 7th lumbar vertebrae. Due to the large amount of motion and postoperative stability issues, an endoscopic lateral foraminal approach (Full Endoscopic Spine Surgery/FESS) was chosen rather than dorsal laminectomy.
